How to ask

Email info@codewithkolin.com with the subject Data deletion request. Say what to delete, and include whichever of these applies:

• the email address you signed up with, for the email lists below;
• the platform and your username (a link to the comment helps), for comments on my social media posts.

No reason is needed, and there is no form to fill in or account to log in to.

What happens next

I reply to confirm I have your request, delete every matching record, and email you once it is done. That happens within 30 days, and usually much sooner. If I can't find anything that matches, I tell you that instead.

What can be deleted

• The build log on this site: your email address and the date you subscribed.
• Free PDF guides (codewithkolin.com/free): your email address, the first name if you gave one, which guide you asked for, the campaign tags in the link you arrived from, and the date.
• App waitlists on apps.codewithkolin.com: your email address, the app, and the date.
• Comments on my social media posts. I use a private publishing tool to post to the Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, X, LinkedIn and TikTok accounts I run, and to answer comments there. It stores the public username, account ID and text of comments left on those posts, and my replies. Nobody else can sign in to it, and it never reads anything from your own account.

Only stopping emails

If you just want the emails to stop, say so in the same way and you will be taken off the list. Ask for deletion as well if you want the record gone too.

Copies the platforms keep

Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, X, LinkedIn and TikTok keep their own copies of your comments and profile. Deleting them there is done in each platform's own settings; what I can delete is the copy my tools hold.
